As a senior programmer-analyst, you'll be responsible for designing, developing and implementing client applications, taking a lead role on projects, and technology transfer. You'll be an integral part of a small company, so you'll need to be very comfortable with building and maintaining client relationships as well as having the technical prowess to develop best-of-breed solutions. You'll be doing object oriented development, using IEEE standards, and eXtreme Programming. In order to be successful in this position, you should have at least 5 years of object oriented development experience, preferably with Java, J2EE, and Javascript. You must be well-versed in a variety of Java development tools, including (but not limited to): Eclipse, JBuilder, JBoss, JDBC and JDeveloper. You should be comfortable working with relational databases (Oracle, Sybase or DB2 preferred) in a highly transactional environment . The ideal candidate will have multiple platform development experience and be familiar with website and e-commerce application development. A solid grasp of SDLC and CASE technology will be critical to your success. You should be comfortable scoping projects and assignments and project planning. Excellent communication skills are required. You should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
