| Description | Are you a software developer who's been thinking it's time to take on a new challenge? My client, a well-known and well-respected Alaskan financial institution is growing and needs your Java talents in their Anchorage office! If you have at least 4 years of Java and J2EE programming experience, you meet the basic requirements. A well-rounded exposure to various Java development tools and technologies, including but not limited to Eclipse, JBuilder, JBoss, JDBC and JDeveloper is highly desired. You should be very comfortable programming in a Unix (AIX preferred) environment and have experience with SQL Server or Oracle databases and a variety of report writers. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) is required. In this position, you can expect to develop new applications, modify and upgrade existing applications, and solve complex integration issues across multiple platforms. You'll make recommendations for system improvements and will develop integrated applications that improve my client's operating efficiency. You'll contribute to the development of requirements documentation and business proposals. You may direct the work of junior developers.
