| Description | Are you a senior software developer who's been thinking it's time to take on a new challenge? My client, a well-known and well-respected Alaskan financial institution is growing and needs your Java and project management talents in their Anchorage office! If you have at least 8 years of programming experience, with two or more years of project management experience, as well as hands-on J2EE web development experience, you meet the basic requirements. You should be very comfortable programming in a Unix (AIX is preferable) environment and have experience with SQL Server or Oracle databases and a variety of report writers. You must be comfortable directing the work of a technical team, including setting project goals, milestones and timelines as well as defining project objectives. You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) is required. In this position, you can expect to lead a team in the development of new applications, as well as the modification and upgrades for existing applications. You will establish project objectives and develop project timelines and milestones. You will prepare technical requirements documents and project status reports.
