| Description | Vice President of Business Sales and Service - Telecom About the Position: Alaska wants to connect with the world, and our company is looking for the right Vice President of Business Sales and Service to help us do it. This position is with a large Telecommunications Company that is located in Anchorage, Alaska. The position of Vice President of Business Sales and Service is part of the companys investment to succeed in the Enterprise space. A high performing team of business sales and service professionals has driven substantial growth over the past three years in the business segment, with the additional high profile of $100M investment, the company will invest in additional executive leadership to assure success. The Team of Professionals who will report to the Vice President of Business Sales and Service include: Director, Business Sales, including 24 business sales professionals Director, Complex Services, including 6 sales support engineers Director, Strategic Opportunity Management Senior Manager, Sales Operations Support, including 46 support personnel The VP of Business Sales and Service will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales and Service, who reports to the CEO and Chair. Responsibility of this position: Generate tens of millions of incremental revenue and margin from Business Customers Own/manage the overall sales and service process designed for business customers; manage improvement in metrics for each stage of the sales and service process (aimed to measure how the company maintains a superior level of customer service and to identify how to continuously improve it) Position the company with all external and internal constituents as the only choice for end to end telecommunications services with all segments of the Business market, with particular emphasis on the Enterprise sub-segment Provide regular, concise, value-added market intelligence to the entire company to assure that it remains the best telecommunications company in Alaska Lead and provide strategic direction to all the members of the Business Sales and Service organization, especially the 4 direct reports listed above Live and role model the company core values Credentials of candidate for this position: Telcom Business Sales - Track record of assuring employees continue to advance their skills, get mentoring, are motivated, and compensated to deliver the companys goal of double digit revenue margin growth Recognized by telcom business customers as having superior consultative selling abilities Demonstrate that employees continue to advance their skills Recognized for solution development in telecom Expert policy negotiator Expert contract negotiator Recognized by employer, employees, and customers as having excellent interpersonal skills Demonstrate superb written and oral communications skills Experienced leader in process improvement and metrics management Innovator BA in Business Administration, Marketing, or closely related field. 10 years in Business segment sales Management Level experience in telecom business sales and service, with 3 years in a senior management position | ||
