| Description | My well-established local client is looking for a strong programmer analyst to join its Anchorage office as soon as possible! You should have at least two years (3-5 years is preferred) COBOL experience, preferably with AcuCobol or MicroFocus COBOL. You should also have SQL scripting experience. VB and/or web development experience is a plus. Exposure to Small Talk is highly desired. You should have strong problem solving skills and be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment. Strong time management skills are required. In this position, you’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining programs for core systems written in AcuCobol for Windows/GUI environments. You’ll work closely with end users to determine specifications for program enhancements and upgrades. You’ll also assist in the maintenance of programs written in both Small Talk and VB.
