| Description | Want to get outside the box? Your skills as a visionary, growth-oriented IT leader are highly desired by a fast-growing Alaska company headquartered in Anchorage. You must have at least ten years of IT experience, with at least five years in a progressively responsible managerial role. You must have strong technical project management experience combined with managing medium to large size teams. You must be well-versed in Windows networks and have a high level of experience with web servers and websites, applications development practices and general office software. You must be comfortable working with numbers – preparing budgets, bidding for projects and responding to government RFPs. You should be a strategic, forward-thinking partner and be comfortable presenting opportunities for company growth relative to information technology. Previous experience working with large government contracts is a plus. You will provide leadership for short and long-range planning for all of the company’s technology initiatives, including goal-setting, objective and strategy planning, infrastructure, training, product and system evaluation, budgeting and more. You will oversee technical projects, systems and staff (currently a team of 8, with substantial growth planned in both internal staff and outsourced contractors). You will ensure that IT projects meet business needs. You will be charged with bringing more accountability in to the IT arena and being responsive to user needs. You will also be responsible for the development of IT resources, data security and disaster recovery. Ready to throw your hat into the ring?
