  Description   The CFO will form a partnership with this Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) CEO to bring this 8 (a) based multi disciplined company forward. Based in Anchorage, this position is an instrument of change that will help lead this government contracting ANC into the arena of competitive bidding. The CFO will lead and coordinate the financial recording of the 7 companies under this ANC, which are 8 (a) ANC subsidiaries that provide services for the Federal Government. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Lead, manage and coordinate accounting department activities required to produce financial reports that will aid the CEO to move towards competitive bidding while maintaining strong growth in the subsidiaries. Assures accounting departmental workflow goes smoothly. Make sure all assigned activities and responsibilities are done on time and are done properly. This position will coordinate a wide variety of accounting projects within the corporation. Partners with the Controllers of the Subsidiaries to facilitate the proper and timely submission of accounting related materials. Leads and coordinates reports, which summarize and forecast corporation business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. Leads research and coordinate economic reports on such subjects as rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and impact of governmental requirements. Partner with CEO to establish budgets and accounting models. Approve division accounting expenses including such items as A/P invoices, safety related expenses, employee salary increases, temporary staffing, write-offs—customer adjustments, staff training and development, rewards and incentives. Coordinates with subsidiary controllers’ employee incentive and rewards programs. Partner with management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare financial recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts. Lead all financial staff in answering financial questions and locating financial information. Implements and oversee a corporate accounting review system. Other related duties may also be assigned. THIS POSITION REQUIRES: A Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college in Finance with an MBA Preferred. “C-Level” Financial Experience in Federal Contracting preferred, experience with financials in the $300M to $1 Bill arena. Financial planning abilities sufficient to: Define Cost-Benefit Analysis, Collect Financial Data, Establish Facts, and Draw Valid Conclusions.
