| Description | Technical Writer - Temp - approx 4-6 month assignment - $21-$25/HR DOE. Need to be very computer literate and must have handled projects working with subject matter experts to obtain information and then produce content in telecomm, IT, engineering, sciene or other technical field. Telecomm industry experience a definite plus. This is not an entry-level position. Create instructions, tutorials and documentation for business operations, software applications and other company systems to be presented in various formats including on-line help. This will include creation of visual aids, graphics and other material to illustrate processes and aid in understanding of concepts. Will work with IT group, end users, clients and company management. Must be able to write in clear, concise manner and incorporate feedback from multiple sources. Position requires degree and minimum two years experience as technical writer working on the type of projects described. This is an in-house assignment with regular M-F schedule or 4 10's- not a telecommuting position. Must have experience working with and mentoring other writers. Writing samples may be requested.
