Robert Bulmer – President

Robert Bulmer, a second generation Alaskan, is the founder and President of Alaska Executive Search, Inc. and its five specialty Divisions.  Bob’s knowledge of business, particularly here in Alaska, is extensive.  In addition to founding AES, he worked as a Management Consultant and Business Trouble Shooter in Alaska, the U.S. and Europe.

Bob has been actively involved with numerous Boards and Commissions throughout the State of Alaska.  These affiliations include Past Chairman and a Director of Alaska Public Telecommunications, Inc.; Board Member of the Alaska State and Anchorage Chambers of Commerce; Member UAA Advisory Boards for College of Business & Public Policy and College of Arts & Sciences; Honorary Commander 517th Air Squadron; and the Anchorage Rotary Club.  Additionally, Bob is the Founder, Chair Emeritus of The Alaska Community Foundation.

Because of his commitment to community service, he has been able to help support the growth of Alaska businesses.

Anne Bulmer – Executive Search Consultant

Anne Bulmer is an Executive Search Consultant and the company’s Administrative Manager.  Anne has over 28 years recruiting experience for CEO’s, COO’s, CFO’s, general management positions, human resource positions, and all levels of accounting professionals.

While raising a family and working to support the business development at AES, Anne has spent a great deal of time focusing on enhancing learning and growth opportunities for the children and young adults in our city.  She is one of the four founding members of The Imaginarium, the children’s science center.  Anne has worked to improve education through these activities.

Diane Bachman – Office Manager/Medical Staffing Recruiter

Diane has been with AES since 1990 and has over nineteen years experience in  human resources. Diane serves as Office Manager overseeing daily office operations. As the recruiter for all medical staffing and nurse placements, she recruits, interviews, tests and places medical employees and nurses, ensuring all candidates’ skills, credentials, licensures and references are current. Diane’s dynamic style and commitment to customer satisfaction ensure a superior level of service. Her background also includes significant experience in marketing and public relations.  Her professional affiliations have included: Public Relations Society of America, Society of Human Resource Management and Toastmasters.

Karen Washington – Division Manager Office Staffing

Karen Washington manages the Office Staffing Division.  Karen joined AES in 1997 and has spent her career with AES building the division and ensuring it provides the highest quality service to all clients.  This includes recruitment, thorough interviews and applicant screening, arranging appropriate computer skill evaluations, reference checks, and the intangible quality of assessing a candidate’s fit with any given organization.  Karen’s priority is making every effort to ensure customer and client satisfaction. She takes pride in the Division’s outstanding record of quality placements and a high level of client satisfaction resulting in numerous long-term, loyal clients. Karen is a member of the Society for Human Resource Managers and has over twenty years experience in the areas of human resources and benefits, civil service administration, and facilities.

Lauren Caraghar – Search Consultant

Lauren Caraghar began her career with AES in 2002 in the Executive Search Division. She moved to the office staffing side of the business where she managed the Temporary Staffing Division for four years and worked with clients from nearly every industry in Alaska.  Having a foundation in all levels of placement handled by AES, Lauren returned to the Executive Search Division in 2009.  While she works on a wide variety of searches, areas of specialty are non-profit management, Alaska Native Corporation management, human resources and administrative management.  Lauren’s love of the outdoors brought her to Alaska from Denver twelve years ago, and she continues to be an avid hiker and backpacker.  Experience prior to AES includes positions in healthcare and non-profit settings.  Lauren is a member of the Society for Human Resource Managers.

Carrie Burg -Temporary Office Staffing

Carrie Burg is the Temporary Staffing Recruiter at Alaska Executive Search.  Carrie was the Administrative and Research Assistant for the Temporary, Clerical, and Medical staffing divisions at AES for four years.  She works closely with client companies to identify and meet their temporary office staffing needs, and screens all possible candidates to ensure each has the skills, experience, and education to bring our clients the most qualified temp to meet their requirement needs.

Charlene Davis – Professional Recruiter

Charlene F. Davis, Executive Search Consultant, brings thirty years of extensive human resources and management experience.  She is a former Director of Talent Management for Providence Health Systems, Alaska, and she has held other director-level roles in employment andrecruitment with large organizations in the Lower 48.  Charlene’s accomplishments include working with Boards, CEOs, CHROs and COOs to align their talent strategy with their business strategy.  Charlene has over 25 years of strong Alaska history, and she has worked across industries since returning to Anchorage nine years ago.  These varied roles and her broad experiences in all phases of recruitment have given her a strong knowledge base and resources to draw from as she works with clients to solve their staffing challenges.  Charlene specializes in senior-level, professional placements.
